Industry stalwart James Cridland has things to say

Before I get to the sneak peek at what’s coming in Episode 2, I just want to say thanks to all the listeners and followers who made the launch episode a huge success!
Featuring guest Evo Terra, it’s already found a warm audience across a host of apps, platforms, and more, so thank you!
While Evo is a hard act to follow for anyone, next week’s guest is more than up to the task. James Cridland is an industry vet and stalwart, as well as a hugely respected name in the space.
As well as his long radio and online business career, James is the editor of Podnews, the leading industry publication full of all things podcasting. He’s been in podcasting since 2005, and brings a wide range of experience to the table.
We talked about a huge range of topics:
the cultural differences when it comes to podcasting in Australia, North America, and the UK
the process of putting a daily resource like Podnews together
his take on indie podcasting and should it be separate
opportunities with AdTech
and much more
There’s a lot of talk online at the moment about one of the topics we spoke about, and that’s indie podcasting and whether it should be treated differently.
Here’s a sneak peek at James’s reply:
It’s an interesting take (as is the rest of the reply), and I can’t wait to share the full episode with you next week, on Friday March 18.
Be sure to follow on your preferred app, so you get notified as soon as it’s published. Until then, take care and happy podcasting…
Danny.
