Hi Reader, With Chartable shutting down at the end of last year, podcasters have been wondering what tool(s) to use to get listener insights, discover similar shows, and track marketing efforts. If you relied on Chartable (or even just dabbled in it), there’s good news – Rephonic is an excellent free tool that can step in and offer even more. I recently shared a video walkthrough of how Rephonic works and why it’s worth your time – here’s the short version. Why Rephonic is a Smart Replacement for ChartableAudience & Demographic Data Rephonic aggregates publicly available data and estimates audience reach, listener location, gender breakdown, and even profession. It’s not always 100% precise, but it is useful – especially if you’re looking to pitch sponsors or collaborate with similar podcasts.
The 3D Podcast Graph This is one of Rephonic’s standout features. The “Graph” lets you see which podcasts your listeners also follow. That’s perfect if you’re looking to be a guest / find guests for your show, explore cross-promotion opportunities, or just curious where your show fits in your niche. Podcast Research Database Rephonic lets you search and filter podcasts by category, country, language, and more, making it easier to find like-minded creators or scout shows for outreach. If you’ve ever tried to build a guest list manually, this is a huge time-saver. Individual Podcast Profiles Every show on Rephonic has a profile that includes estimated reach, top cities, related podcasts, and contact details (where available). If you’re planning outreach, this makes it easier to write personalized, relevant pitches. Why You Should Claim Your ShowEven if you’re not planning on using every feature of Rephonic right away, it’s worth claiming your podcast. Here’s why: You control your show’s profile You can easily ensure your podcast’s description, artwork, and category are accurate. If someone’s researching your show – for a sponsorship, a guest invite, or a cross-promo – you want them seeing the right information. Access your full analytics dashboard Claimed shows get more detailed insights, like Audience Personas, charts, followers on podcast apps, and more. Even if you already have great stats from your hosting platform, it’s helpful to see what others might see from the outside looking in. Improve discoverability Claiming your show connects it more directly to related podcasts and audience graphs, making it easier to be discovered by other creators or potential listeners. It’s free There’s no downside to getting verified and having control over how your show appears. If you’ve been wondering what to do post-Chartable this is a great replacement, as you’ll see in this overview from me. Let me know if you give it a try, I’d love to hear what you think about it. Until the next time, happy podcasting.
